The Mikanda with Inzoka necklace is made with beautiful tourmaline beads picked for their muted ‘watermelon’ colour palette. Inspired by classic beaded tribal jewellery, the statement piece features a golden serpent, which symbolises rebirth and transformation. Each bead is threaded by hand onto a solid gold square serpent chain for extra sturdiness and beauty. Mikanda means ‘bead’ in Xhosa and Chichewa, which gives the piece its name.
A Mikanda with Islanda version with a golden hand is also available. This necklace sits at around 15" in length.
Please allow up to 6-8 weeks for the Mikanda with Inzoka to be made and dispatched. If you need them for a certain date, please email me before you buy and I will try my best to accommodate.
